Team India is set for a busy 2026–27 home season, featuring 22 matches across 17 cities. They will host West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, and Australia during this period. According to a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announcement on Thursday (March 26), the Men in Blue will kick off their campaign against West Indies on September 27.
The Shubman Gill-led side will take on the visitors in a three-match ODI series, marking the first ODI meeting between the two teams since July–August 2023, when India secured a 2–1 series victory. Following this, the Suryakumar Yadav-captained T20 World Cup 2026 champions will face West Indies in a five-match T20I series in October.
India will next host Sri Lanka in December for a full-fledged white-ball series, consisting of three ODIs and three T20Is. The last ODI series between the two sides took place in August 2024, where the Men in Blue secured a 2–0 win in a three-match contest.
As they prepare for the 50-over World Cup year, India will also take on Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series in January 2027. Meanwhile, Bengaluru is set to host two international matches this year after receiving approval to stage games for IPL 2026.
