India squad for the upcoming edition of the ICC Champions Trophy has been announced. A fully fit Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami return to India squad.
The BCCI selectors have opted to go with the same opening combination that played for India in the 2013 edition of the tournament.

“Ashwin”s selection was not a difficult decision. He”s had rest, isn”t out of form. We”ve been preparing him for Champions Trophy 2017,” chief selector, MSK Prasad.
Rohit Sharma has not played ODI cricket since October 2016 & Mohammed Shami”s played his last ODI Match in World Cup in 2015. Ravi Ashwin currently recovering from a sports hernia.
“We all believe MS Dhoni is best “keeper-batsman in the world. He”s a tremendous support to Virat Kohli.We discussed Kuldeep Yadav who would have been a solid player. He narrowly missed out,” chief selector, MSK Prasad.
Team India will begin their title defense on 4th June against Pakistan.
