The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a 15-member India squad for the 2023 U19 Men’s Asia Cup on Saturday, November 25, through a press release. The tournament is set to take place in Dubai from December 8, with the final on December 17/. Uday Sharan will be leading the Indian squad, while Saumy Kumar Pandey will be his deputy.
The defending champions, India are in Group A along with Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nepal in the U19 Asia Cup. They will kick off their campaign against Afghanistan on Friday, December 8 at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai. India will play Pakistan and Nepal in their next two matches of the league stages. The squad boasts of talented players, including Arshin Kulkarni, Musheer Khan and Murugan Abhishek. Meanwhile, Prem Devkar, Ansh Gosai and Md. Amaan has been picked as a travelling standby reserve. The selectors have also named four reserve players, who won’t be travelling with the team.
