BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has expressed appreciation for the overwhelming fan support received during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024. The league’s second edition began on February 23 and is set to conclude tomorrow with the grand finale.
The tournament’s initial matches took place at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, followed by the latter half at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Fans turned out in large numbers at both venues, passionately backing the teams and players, highlighting the growing popularity of women’s cricket in the nation.
On the eve of the WPL 2024 final, Jay Shah expressed his gratitude to the fans for their immense support, sharing his message on his official X handle.

DC and RCB are set to compete in the WPL 2024 final on March 17 in Delhi
Delhi Capitals (DC) asserted their dominance during the league stage of WPL 2024, securing the top spot in the points table and earning a direct berth to the final. Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) displayed consistent performances, finishing in second and third place, respectively.
RCB’s victory over MI by a margin of five runs in the Eliminator on Friday paved their way to face DC in the pinnacle clash of the WPL’s second edition.
