India’s bowling coach, Morne Morkel, has identified Andhra all-rounder Nitish Reddy as a future star before the first BGT 2024 Test match against Australia in Perth. „His performances in IPL 2024 and in the T20Is led to his Selection in the Indian Test Squad.“

The Hyderabad batsman Nitish Reddy, who has played 23 First-Class matches, also adds a different dimension to the Indian team, especially on foreign tours. He is a pace-bowling allrounder and has potential to play with both the bat and the ball. Recent performance in the A games of Mackay and Melbourne proves that he is heading towards a bright future, where he built a credible pairing with Dhruv Jurel.

Nitish Reddy’s bowling has also been fruitful, having gone for under three an over in three of his four spells. His consistent and versatile abilities in all departments and fine displays make Nitish Reddy a promising talent for the Test series against Australia.

Andhra all-rounder Nitish Reddy was hailed by India bowling coach Morne Morkel, who stated the young player was the one to watch ahead of the first BGT 2024 Test match against Australia in Perth, which starts on November 22.

“He [Nitish Reddy] is one of the young guys. [There’s] all-round ability. He’ll be one guy who can hold one end up for us, especially for the first couple of days. [He’s a] wicket-to-wicket bowler. Any team in the world would want an all-rounder who can help pacers. It’ll be on Jasprit [Bumrah] how he uses them. Definitely a guy to keep an eye on in the series,” Morkel said in a press conference.

The Australian cricket series will commence with the opening Test in Perth on November 22, followed by the second Test at Adelaide Oval on December 6-10, and the third Test at The Gabba in Brisbane on December 14-18.
