Team India cricketer Shreyas Iyer’s participation in the remainder of the fourth Test against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad in the 2023 Border Gavaskar Trophy looks in jeopardy. He is struggling with back pain and is being monitored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) medical team.
Shreyas Iyer complained of lower back pain. He was taken for scans by the Medical team after the end of the third day’s play on Saturday, March 11 in Ahmedabad. The development has been confirmed by the BCCI. However, there has been no further update on his participation in the game. The right-handed batter did not come out to bat at his usual number five. Instead, Ravindra Jadeja took the field for Team India, and after his dismissal, KS Bharat walked out to bat.
