The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season is going to be bigger than ever. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to add two new teams and host a mega auction for the upcoming season.

A franchise can retain four players maximum from their team – three Indians and one overseas or two Indians and two overseas players. While the fans are excited, some have even started plotting strategies for their favorite teams. A social media user tweeted to Australian leg spinner Brad Hogg to suggest four players whom the Royal Challengers Bangalore should invest in for the next few seasons.

“@Brad_Hogg Sir?? If before the mega auction, the IPL franchise can keep only four players in the team, then which four players will RCB keep in their team?” asked the fan.

Brad Hogg quoted the fan’s tweet to share his thoughts. Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Devdutt Padikkal are the four players Hogg suggested. But Hogg also added that AB De Villiers and Kyle Jamieson will look also be looked in.

“4-year window to invest in players. Kohli Siraj Chahal Padikkal Keeping locals vital. I would find out on how long AB De Villiers wants to play to before I make the final decision. Jamieson would be looked out to. Overseas player investment too risky today though,” Hogg said.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will have the problem of plenty while planning for the IPL 2022 mega auction. Their side has some very exciting youngsters who have the potential to make it big. The Bangalore-based franchise will look to invest in such players while keeping their powerhouses Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers in the team.
