Virat Kohli, the star batter from India, showed his keenness and dedication towards returning to form by arriving 90 minutes before training before India’s biggest match of the tournament against Pakistan in Dubai.

The star batter arrived at the venue by car, accompanied by team India’s head coach Abhishek Nayar, eager to start the practice session. Even though the schedule was for a practice session starting at 1 pm local time, Kohli demonstrated his determination by being present at the ground before noon.

Camera crews captured Kohli working out with local net bowlers who helped ensure he trained under testing conditions. Kohli looked in good touch, playing crisp drives and working hard on defense. The training session took place at ICC Academy, and he was seen spending time there.

The Pakistan team, led by Mohammad Rizwan, was set to start their practice that day from 4 pm to 7 pm on the same ground. With such focused practice on Kohli’s part and an early start, Indian fans are surely hoping for fireworks from their hero in the match ahead.

Virat Kohli scored just 22 runs off 38 balls vs Bangladesh

Virat Kohli’s problems dealing with leg-spin started some time last year and are now haunting the Indian team. During the first contest vs. Bangladesh, Kohli’s troubles rotating the strike were apparent, amassing 11 dot balls during the less-spirited middle overs against the spinners. He could only get 22 runs off 38 balls before falling prey to leg-spinner Rishad Hossain.

Kohli’s combat against leg-spin was a trend, with him getting dismissed twice by England’s Adil Rashid in the three-match ODI series. He was similarly seen grappling with the Sri Lankan spinners during the two-match ODI series last year. Kohli’s dwindling ability against leg-spin has always raised eyebrows about his readiness to face such bowling.
