Chennai Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar, who was one of the 13 members to have tested positive for COVID-19 has finally recovered from the virus. Earlier this week, a panic situation created within the CSK camp when close to 13 members tested positive including Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad.
After the news broke out, the Chennai Super Kings camp had their quarantine extended until the 3rd test happened. Today, on 1st September all members of the squad tested negative and it is likely that they will start training very soon at the ICC Academy.
Deepak Chahar recovers from COVID-19
The fast bowler posted a video on his twitter account addressing his fans. Chahar thanked his fans for all the well wishes after recovering from the virus. He also said that he is looking forward to getting back in action very soon.
The fast bowler from Rajasthan further mentioned how an athlete like him should never miss a leg day in whatever condition he’s in. He showcased some leg exercise from his hotel room using a bucket. However, there has been no update from Ruturaj Gaikwad yet.
“Hello everyone, thank you so much for your wishes and prayers. I’ve recovered well and hopefully be in action soon. One more thing, never miss your leg day no matter where you are and what condition you are,” Chahar said.

Following this tweet from Deepak Chahar, his cousin brother Rahul Chahar was quick to reply. He wished his brother a speedy recovery.
“Stay strong brother Flexed biceps hoping for your speedy recovery and all my prayers for you Folded hands get well soon,” Rahul had tweeted wishing Deepak a speedy recovery.
With the IPL schedule not yet released, we’re still unsure if Chennai Super Kings will face off Mumbai Indians in the season opener. Since there are talks of Mumbai Indians playing Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening game on 19th September.
