IPL 2020: Chennai Super Kings Most Likely To Start Training From 4th September

The Chennai Super Kings franchise has been the most talked franchise in this year’s IPL. First up their star player Suresh Raina backing out of the IPL due to personal reasons. Then second, close to 13 members of the squad getting tested positive for COVID-19. Quite evidently the Chennai camp is going through a rough time right now in the UAE.

To all those CSK fans out there, we have got some news as the CSK team is expected to start training from today (4th September). All player except Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj Gaikwad will start training as the two are undergoing 14 days quarantine.

Pacer Deepak Chahar updated his fans through a twitter post saying he has fully recovered from the virus but there has been no news of Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Chennai Super Kings to start training from today

A CSK official confirmed the news that the results of the additional tests have come out negative on 4th September. After which the CSK team will start training at the ICC Academy in Dubai Sports City.

‘Tests were done today. Results will come late night or tomorrow morning,’ a CSK official told PTI.

Prior to this, even CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed that the team will start training from Friday after the additional testing round. Even those who had earlier tested negative were asked to go through the additional testing for precautionary measures.

As of now, all players in the camp have undergone 3 tests as per BCCI SOP in the mandatory six days quarantine ever since their arrival in UAE. The camp now tested negative will start training as they gear up for this year’s IPL in the chase for their fourth IPL title.

On the other hand, Suresh Raina has dismissed reports of any rift relating to the hotel room within the CSK camp.
