The Chennai Super Kings have played the spoiled sport as they have managed to knock Kings XI Punjab out of the IPL playoffs contention. Which is why after the match got over the Chennai Super Kings’ Twitter handle hilariously trolled Kings XI Punjab for not being able to qualify for the playoffs

In the match where Chennai Super Kings battled out against Kings XI Punjab, the KL Rahul side had an explosive start to their innings. Skipper KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal went hard at the opening bowlers of CSK. Following a 48 run stand between the two, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal both lost their wickets in quick succession as both were prey to Lungi Ngidi.

Universe Boss Chris Gayle and his countrymen Nicholas Pooran looked to build a partnership between them but they too lost their wickets very early on. Then it was all about Deepak Hooda as his notched up his second IPL fifty as all thanks to his innings KXIP reached to a decent total of 153 at the end of 20 overs. In the chase, Ruturaj Gaikwad ended up scoring his third consecutive of the season as Chennai Super Kings comprehensively beat Kings XI Punjab by 9 wickets.

Chennai Super Kings Troll Kings XI Punjab Following their Exit from Playoffs Contention

After the match, the Chennai  Super Kings social media handle hilariously trolled KXIP by tweeting one for the super fans and RCB, DC, SRH, RR and KKR who are still in contention for qualifying for the playoffs.

“One for the Super Fans…

…and RCB, DC, SRH, RR and KKR,” wrote the franchise.

With Kings XI Punjab knocked out of the IPL and with Kolkata Knight Riders defeating Rajasthan Royals in the evening encounter the battle for the playoffs will be between DC, RCB, SRH and RR. Three of the mentioned four teams will go on to qualify for the playoffs whereas one team will, unfortunately, miss out from qualification by a whisker as the net rate will play a crucial role in the process.

On Monday evening, Royal Challengers Bangalore take on the Delhi Capitals, the winner of which will occupy the 2nd place in the points table.
