Cheteswar Pujara hits the nets ahead of West Indies Test Series

Indian test specialist Cheteswar Pujara was seen practising in the nets ahead of the Carribean test series. After a long break, he is now geared up to take up the field yet again from 22nd August.

Cheteswar Pujara was one of the chief architects behind the Australian down under earlier this year. Pujara looked in a very fine touch throughout the series as he bagged Man of the Series award for his stellar knocks. Additionally, he rose to his career-best ranking right after the series. Currently, he occupies the third spot in the ICC test batsmen rankings.

Pujara”s presence will play an important role in India”s chances at the ICC test Championship. The two-match Test series against West Indies marks the beginning of the same. He will be playing several games on the trot as India will also be hosting Proteas and Bangladesh series in consecutive months.

Not just Pujara, but R Ashwin and Rahane who are currently playing only one format of the game are expected to be the trump cards in the test series.

T20I”s kickstart today

The stage is all set for the tour as the shorter format commences today.  All eyes on youngsters today as it will be interesting to see the playing XI today.

The first two games will be played at Lauderhill, Florida while Guyana hosts the third T20I.

It will be an opportunity for youngsters to cement a spot in the side.
