The Chennai Super Kings seemed to have peaked but it’s just too late as they beat Kolkata Knight Riders in a last-over thriller. With the help of Ruturaj Gaikwad‘s second consecutive IPL fifty, Chennai Super Kings managed to get passed the finishing line as with this win Mumbai Indians have now confirmed their place in the playoffs as Kolkata Knight Riders will now rely on other results to go their way if they have any hopes of qualifying to the playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders Sink At The Death

The man of the match of today’s match between CSK and KKR was Ruturaj Gaikwad for his second consecutive fifty of the season. At the post-match presentation, Ruturaj Gaikwad said that COVID made him tough as a player since he learnt how to face any situation with a smile
“It is feeling good. Pretty confident as well. I have backed myself. Both the innings when I got out early, I knew the situation was a little tough. Covid has made me tough. As our captain says, face every situation with a smile. I stayed positive and didn’t think much about the future,” Ruturaj Gaikwad said.
