Salman Irshad, Pakistan’s fast bowler, had an exceptional start in the CPL 2023 match against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SNP) on August 23rd. He took three wickets in just five deliveries during the opening over. Representing the reigning champions Jamaica Tallawahs, the 27-year-old successfully dismissed Andre Fletcher, Corbin Bosch, and Ambati Rayudu, significantly weakening the batting lineup of SNP.
The right-arm fast bowler initiated his bowling spell by dismissing the dangerous Andre Fletcher, as the ball bounced and grazed the edge to the wicketkeeper. Following that, Irshad delivered another ball with a steep bounce, resulting in Bosch edging it to the point fielder.
In the same over, he claimed the wicket of experienced IPL player Ambati Rayudu, who attempted an aggressive shot but only managed to find the third man fielder. This remarkable three-wicket over left SNP struggling at a score of 38/4 after five overs.
