Indian Premier League has earned the reputation of being the flagship T20 league all around the world. One of the most prominent reasons for its success is because of the batting we have witnessed over the years. Batsmen have taken full advantage of the conditions and made merry with tons of runs. We already know who is the batsman that have the most runs, the most hundreds and the best strike rates. But have you ever wondered who are the top 5 cricketers with most ducks in IPL history?

In the 12 years of the IPL, who are those batsmen that have been dismissed the most maximum times with opening their account. Usually, the bowlers who bat down the order have the most noughts but in the IPL, that hasn’t been the case. Even some of the most leading batsmen of many franchises have walked back to the pavilion without any run scored. No batsman wants a duck next to their name as they always want to score runs for their side. Well, sometimes it just doesn’t go the way of the batsman and they head back to the dugout without adding any runs to the scoreboard.

The first-ever Indian to score a century in IPL also is one of the batsmen with most ducks. Manish Pandey has never been able to play for a long time in his IPL career for a particular team. He has played for five franchises since 2008 and also has 12 ducks to his name. Pandey has so far played 130 matches in IPL and has 2843 runs with 12 ducks.

2. Parthiv Patel

Parthiv Patel has the joint-most 13 ducks in IPL.

Coming in at one at No. 2 is the left-handed opening batsman Parthiv Patel with 13 ducks. Parthiv usually goes hell for leather from ball one and as a result, it doesn’t often go his way. He has earned the reputation off getting his team off to a flyer in the first powerplay.

On his day, Parthiv can be an out match-winner but when a quality bowler bowls a good ball he has always been found wanting. In the 139 matches that he played in the IPL he has scored 2848 runs but unfortunately also has 13 ducks which are the joint-most.
