David Warner’s manager James Erskine has made new revelations in the 2018 ball-tampering scandal which saw Steve Smith, Cameron Bancroft serve bans penalised on them by Cricket Australia and the ICC. The case has taken a new turn after Bancroft’s admission that the Australian bowlers too were aware of the entire story. Cameron’s words forced the board to di deep into the matter and try and get to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, David Warner‘s manager has said that the three cricketers were treated badly during this entire episode and also termed Cricket Australia’s investigation as a joke.
Ball-Tampering Scandal Investigation Was a Joke: James Erskine
“The report that was done, they didn’t interview all the players. The whole thing was so badly handled, it was a joke,” Erskine was quoted as saying by Sydney Morning Herald.
Erskine further said that he knows the entire truth of the ball-tampering scandal. He further added that the truth will create hardly any difference to the Australian public who have over a period of time hated the cricketers because of their behavior.

“But eventually the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, will come out and I know the whole truth. But it doesn’t serve any purpose because the Australian public over a period of time got to dislike the Australian team because they didn’t behave particularly well,” he added.
David Warner’s manager further said that the three cricketers were treated with disrespect during this entire episode and the case could have been a lot worse had one of the players taken any legal action.
“There is absolutely no doubt that Smith, Warner and Bancroft were treated despicably. The fact of the matter is they did the wrong thing but the punishment didn’t fit the crime. I think if one or two of those players had taken legal action they would have won because of what the truth was,” he further said.
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia released a statement on Sunday asking people with any new information on the matter to come forward.
