Kyle Jamieson made his ODI against India and straight away made a name for himself after a tremendous performance in the 2nd ODI at Auckland, helping his team clinching the series with one match to go in Mount Maungunai on tuesday.
Kyle Jamieson came to bat when New Zealand were struggling at 198 for 7 and then stitched a partnership with Ross Taylor to help New Zealand reach a score of 273 at the end of 50 overs.
Kyle Jamieson also took two important wickets of Navdeep Saini, who was looking extremely dangerous with the bat and opener Prithvi Shaw.
Kyle Jamieson was awarded Man of the Match for his match winning performance, after recieving the award he said "On a high at the moment, need time to sink it in; the game ebbed and flowed all along. Pretty simple, take it to the 50 overs (about his batting stint with Ross Taylor), a total of around 230-240, we would have been happy, just wanted to stay there and stick with Ross, be there till the end. A surreal moment to get a wicket in the first over, it was more relief than anything else, happy that I didn't go for too many. International cricket is high intensity with a big crowd watching along."
New Zealand will now face India in the final One Day at Mount Maungunai on Tuesday where they will look to clean sweep the Indians after being thrashed in the T20I's.
