Earlier in the day, the first half certainly belonged to the youthful exuberance of Devdutt Padikkal and Josh Phillippe. They carted the bowlers to all parts, before Rahul Chahar’s chicanery accounted for the latter. The second half was all about Mumbai Indians, who lost Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in quick succession amidst a bone-chilling spell of pace from Jasprit Bumrah.
Devdutt Padikkal, too, departed in an attempt to accelerate and was perhaps robbed off a hundred at the team’s expense. Gurkeerat Mann Singh and Washington Sundar did all they could to get RCB to 164 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
