Indian batsman Dinesh Karthik has been issued a notice by the BCCI for attending a CPL game. It has been reported that there hasn’t been any prior intimation from him to the BCCI on his participâtion.

Karthik was spotted in the dressing room of Trinbago Knight Riders at the CPL. The franchise is led by the same group that owns Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League. He was seen alongside Brendon Mccullum who has been recently appointed as the head coach for both sides.

This means that he has violated the rules of his central BCCI contract. The BCCI has now issued him a notice to appear within a week to give an explanation on the same. Further developments on the same are awaited.

Dinesh Karthik – Not in International setup

After the recently concluded world cup 2019, Karthik hasn’t been given a go in the limited-overs against the Carribiens. The management, in turn, chose to include several youngsters to prepare a solid team ahead of the T20 world cup.

On the other head, he played the TNPL during the break where his side Kaaraikudi Kaalai finished last in the points table. Will the International doors open again for Dinesh Karthik? We will have to wait and see.
