Delhi Capitals off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin sustained an injury in the first game against Kings Xi Punjab which is why he isn’t featuring for the Capitals side so far. Since he’s been recovering and his captain Shreyas Iyer wants him to rest for 3-4 games before he finally makes a comeback in the side. In the meanwhile, Ashwin has been using the time off to record episodes for his YouTube channel.
Recently KKR Skipper Dinesh Karthik appeared on Ravichandran Ashwin’s talk show which is hosted by Ashwin himself on YouTube. It’s been a while since Ashwin started his YouTube channel where numerous guests have appeared on the show. So this time the all-rounder from Tamil Nadu invited his stateside companion Dinesh Karthik on the Show.
Andre Russell is scared of everything other than ball: Dinesh Karthik
Ashwin asked Karthik many questions about the KKR franchise, wherein specifically asked how and where does one bowl to Andre Russell. Since he seems so destructive and possesses the ability to destroy any bowling attack on a given day.
“How do you bowl to him? His miss-hit is a six with 8m clearance, decent hit 15m and a whack is out of the ground. As a captain how can an opposition bowler bowl to him?” Ashwin asked.

Dinesh Karthik answered that one can only pray to god that Andre Russell is in a bad mood before going for a match. Also when He walks past Karthik, he seems like a wrestler for the KKR skipper but out and all he’s a brilliant character as per Karthik.
“First pray to God. Give him an offering. Pray that he’s in a bad mood, and then go for IPL. Then the day, the wicket, the conditions (matter). Just watching him walk in is scary. He comes in like a wrestler. What a build-up he gives while doing that. He’s a brilliant character. With his muscles and all, he looks like an MMA fighter,” replied Karthik.
Dinesh Karthik further revealed how Andre Russell is scared of everything other than the cricket ball. From driving cars to the roller coasters, the big Jamaican is scared of everything revealed Karthik.
“But he’s scared of everything. He’s scared of driving cars, or even when the bus swerves, he gets scared. He said he’ll never be on a rollercoaster. Never judge a book by its cover. The only thing he’s not scared of is the ball,” he added.
