India and South Africa are facing each other in the fourth T20I in Rajkot. It is a must-win game for the Indian T20I team to be alive in this T20I series. Currently, South Africa has made a lead of 2-1 in the T20I series against the Indian team.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian team posted a total of 169 runs after batting first. Dinesh Karthik was the best batsman for the Indian team today. He stopped the collapse and in the end played a counter-attacking knock in the death overs.

When Karthik arrived to bat, the Indian team was struggling at 81 for 4 in 13 overs. Dinesh scored 55 runs in 27 balls against South Africa in the 4th T20I. He took on Keshav Maharaj despite it being an unfavourable matchup for him. Later, Karthik also attacked Anrich Nortje and Dwaine Pretorius in death overs.

 Dinesh smashed nine fours and two sixes in his innings. This was the first T20I fifty of Karthik in his T20I career. It has been an amazing comeback from Dinesh Karthik in the Indian T20I team after an unbelievable IPL 2022 season. Fans appreciated Dinesh Karthik for his brilliant comeback.

“I always wanted to come back in Indian team” – Dinesh Karthik delighted after comeback

Dinesh Karthik too was delighted after making his comeback to the Indian T20I team. Karthik revealed that he kept working harder to make his comeback. The 37-year-old in an interview with the BCCi website said, ” I have been dropped many times and I have always wanted to come back to the Indian team.”

” That has been my biggest drive, whether I played domestic or the IPL. The urge and fire in the belly in terms of wanting to come back here and wear the national colours and represent India has been something that I dream of every day. That is what has kept me going in the last decade or so,” Dinesh Karthik added.
