“Don’t Want Anyone To…”- Rohit Sharma Reveals Real Reason Behind The Decision To Exclude Fans From Team India Practice

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has come up with a reason regarding the decision of the team management to make provisions for barring the supporters from attending net sessions for the ongoing test series against Australia.

As per Rohit, practice sessions are private, and the team is not in favor of any intervention by the public. This was their decision after having to keep it open for public watching while the team had been through the pink-ball Test.

The open practice session turned out to be quite a chaotic one; almost all their players met with some very insensitively shouted comments from a few in the audience. That much has been influenced by the events that have motivated the team management to take this decision barring supporters from attending net sessions.

Rohit cleared the air that the team wants to be focused on their practice and nothing less than that. Practice sessions are maintained as being secret with the idea that it keeps them in the competition of being actually prepared for any type of competition.

India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, gave an explanation on Sunday, December 8, of why the team’s management has prohibited fans from attending the net sessions during the current Test tour of Australia.

“You know, the net sessions are very private, and this was the first time ever I saw so many people during the nets. And when you’re training, when you’re practising, there are a lot of conversations that happen, and those conversations are very private. We don’t want anyone to hear those conversations. It is as simple as that because there’s a lot of planning,” Rohit said in the press conference.

“There’s a lot of talking that happens. And the crowds are very close to that practice facility. There are five days of Test cricket. They can come and watch us there,” Rohit Sharma said.

To stand a chance of qualifying for the WTC final, which will take place at Lord’s next year, the Rohit Sharma-led team must win its final three Test matches against Australia in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.
