Veteran all-rounder from West Indies Dwayne Bravo entered an elusive list as he became the first bowler to take 500 T20 wickets. Bravo achieved the feat during his side Trinbago Knight Riders’ encounter against St Lucia Zouks in the ongoing CPL 2020.
A globetrotter in true sense, the all-rounder has featured in almost all the cricket leagues across the globe. He has entertained the fans to the fullest alongside playing a pivotal role in every team he has played for.

Meanwhile, Rahkeem Cornwall became the 500th scalp of Dwayne Bravo. The incident took place in the fourth over of the match when Colin Munro grabbed the catch to dismiss Rahkeem. Bravo celebrated the wicket by raising both his hands as his teammates applauded him for achieving the 500-wicket milestone.
The veteran all-rounder has scalped 500 wickets in 459 matches at an average of just over 24 including two five-wicket hauls. No other cricketer has even touched the feat of 400 wickets in T20s. Sri Lankan legend Lasith Malinga sits second on the chart with 390 wickets.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Bravo’s teammate Sunil Narine occupies the third spot in the list with 383 wickets from 339 games. The all-rounder had earlier announced his retirement from international cricket. However, he came out of it to represent West Indies and has cleared his intentions to play in the T20 World Cup.
Next up for Bravo is the upcoming Indian Premier League in the UAE. He will turn up for Chennai Super Kings and has been a part of the core group over the years. The Trinidad-born will hope to deliver the goods once again as Chennai look for their fourth IPL title.
The 13th edition of the cash-rich league will start from September 19 and will run until November 10. This will be the first time in the history that the grand finale will take place on a weekday. The cricketers will remain in a bio-secure bubble throughout the tournament keeping the COVID-19 in mind.
