With no cricket taking place due to the COVID-19 pandemic the players have become very active on social media. Dwayne Bravo too joined in the fun and interviewed with ESPNCricinfo. In an episode of the show “25 questions”, the West Indies and Chennai Super Kings all-rounder poured his heart out on various issues.
Rohit Sharma can score the first T20 double ton: Dwayne Bravo
When Bravo was asked, “who do you think will score the first double hundred in T20”?. The veteran Caribbean all-rounder Dwayne Bravo didn’t think much and said, Rohit Sharma. The India opener already has 3 double century in ODIs and 3 centuries in T20I. Rohit has a habit of converting his starts into daddy hundreds.
The swashbuckling India opener has all the shots in the book and once he gets set invariably makes the opposition pay. Earlier Rohit also stated that he could have easily gotten a double century against Sri Lanka in a T20 match. In Indore, the prolific Indian batsman scored 118 runs off just 42 balls in that match.
When a question popped about, “Which three batsmen will compromise your dream hat-trick”? He named Virat Kohli, Ab de Villers and Kieron Pollard as his dream hat-trick. Dwayne Bravo over the years has played a lot of cricket against Kohli and De Villiers. Whereas with Pollard he has played together for West Indies and are great friends off the field.
Another interesting question in the video was, “Which CSK teammate of yours has the Caribbean flavour?”. To which Bravo answered, “Murali Vijay. Actually, Vijay thinks he is a Jamaican”. Vijay and Bravo were teammates at CSK from 2001-2013, before the opening batsman was released by the franchise. He returned to CSK in 2018 and since then he has been a part of the side.
