Rain interrupted the weather very early on day 2 of the second Test at Lord’s. The toss was delayed due to rain and the players had to walk off the field just after the first session started. Rainninteruppted proceedings again forcing players to break for an early lunch. The final two sessions of the day was played out without any interruption. The prediction for the second day’s weather at Lord’s is very close to how it was on the first day. Rain is expected to stay around the corner and possibly interrupt the game as well.

The viewers are expected to see another complete day’s play at Lord’s on day 2. However, there is always a chance of rain given the uneven nature of the weather in England. The temperature will hover around 19 degrees celscius and it will gradually increase as the day’s play progresses. There are same predictions for Saturday as well.

As the day progresses towards the evening the temperature will drop down to 17 degrees celcius. The cloud cover increases to 56 percent.

KL Rahul Gets His Name Etched In Lord’s Honors Board

Meanwhile, KL Rahul went into the Honors Board of Lord’s after scoring his first Test ton at this venue. He joined an elite list of Indian players to score a Test ton at Lord’s. His current batting partner Ajinkya Rahane was the last Indian batsman to score a century at this iconic venue.

Team India would ideally want to add another 100 runs to their overnight score and look to post close to 400 runs in the first innings. England bowlers very well know that their job on 2 is to limit the Indian batsmen from getting to a big total. With a lot at stake, day 2 should prove another enthralling day’s cricket given the weather permits.
