Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has slammed the Indian think tank for pulling out from playing the fifth and final Test match in Manchester. England leading into the final Test were trailing 2-1 and were on the lookout to draw the series. However, due to a COVID scare in the Indian camp, the Indian players pulled out from playing the test match. With just a couple of hours to go the match was cancelled once the BCCI and the ECB reached a mutual consensus.
Meanwhile taking to Twitter, Michael Vaughan has expressed his dissatisfaction at the Indian management and the players for not playing the final Test. He said that playing the IPL was the man reason behind the visitors pulling out from the fifth Test.
“IPL teams chartering planes .. 6 days quarantining required in the UAE .. 7 days till the tournament starts !!!! Don’t tell me the Test was cancelled for any other reason but the IPL … “ tweeted Vaughan.

Indian players pulling out from the final Test irked a few England cricketers who then pulled out from the UAE leg. Jonny Bairstow and Chris Woakes will not be available for the respective franchises in the UAE leg. Meanwhile, the various franchises arranged for chartered flights to fly their players from Manchester to UAE. Mumbai Indians and CSK players have already reached while the RCB players will reach by Sunday.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has taken a dig at Michael Vaughan for his latest tweet. “My tooth fell of,can I blame the @IPL ?? #easytarget“ wrote Pathan as a response to Vaughan’s tweet.
