England’s veteran pacer Stuart Broad has hit back at the ball-tampering accusations against the England cricket team. On day 4 of the second Test match against India at Lord’s Cricket Stadium, an England fielder stepped on the cricket ball. The picture soon went viral on social media with many accusing the England team of ball-tampering.
Former cricketers accused English cricketers of a possible ball-tampering Many Twitter users shared the picture and one of them tagged England’s pacer Stuart Broad in their tweet.
Stating his take on the incident, Stuart Broad replied to a user, “My comments are- Woody tried to nut meg Burnsy by tapping the ball through his legs (a very common occurrence) & he missed and kicked the ball there by accident. Instead of screenshotting the pic, watch the video- quite plain & easy to see”

Responding to another Twitter user’s tweet, Stuard Broad wrote, “As I’m sure you’re aware form watching the full footage- it wasn’t deliberate was it. End of Story”.

Earlier, before the start of the second Test, Stuart Broad was ruled out from the Test series against India with an injured ankle. Saqib Mahmood has been added to the squad as his replacement.
Moeen Ali and Mark Wood’s late strikes put England ahead at Lord’s
England bowler’s fought back strongly to take three wickets for 20 runs in the last session on day four. After a top-order collapse, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane steadied the Indian ship. Both the batters were out of form and needed some runs under their belt. They put on 100 runs for the fourth wicket before Pujara gloved a bouncer to Joe Root on 45 runs.
Moeen Ali struck two wickets – Ajinkya Rahane (61 of 146) and Ravindra Jadeja (3 off 5), to consolidate England’s position further in the match. At stumps on day four, India leads by 154 runs, with Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma at the crease.
