Former India cricketer Zaheer Khan was all praise for India’s young pace gun Mohammed Siraj. In a short international career so far, Siraj has impressed everyone with his exemplary bowling skills. The right-arm pacer made a vital contribution to India’s win against England at the Lord’s cricket stadium. He took eight wickets in the test, a four-wicket haul in each inning.
Siraj was on a hat-trick twice in the second innings. He registered the best match figures for India at Lord’s. Impressed with Mohammed Siraj’s performance, Zaheer Khan said to Cricbuzz:
“Siraj’s intensity throughout the game was phenomenal. It feels like every ball he bowls he will get a wicket. That is the energy with which he bowls.”

Mohammed Siraj has brought balance into the Indian team: Zaheer Khan
Zaheer khan further added that Mohammed Siraj has brought the perfect balance in India’s bowling department. He gives the Indian skipper another option against the left-handed batsmen. Zaheer Khan said,
“Siraj has brought balance into the Indian team as Shami has an upright seam position. He likes to bowl long spells and that I think is necessary for the captain to have in the team. Siraj is very disciplined and the way he bowls to the left-handers it gives an extra option, as Bumrah and Ishant prefer to bowl around the wicket to left-hand batters. But Siraj bowls over the wicket and, the bowl goes outside the off stump and creates a problem.”
MAGIC is believing in yourself. If you can make that happen, you can make anything happen ✌🏻

Zaheer Khan feels that if Mohammed Siraj manages to dismiss the England skipper Joe Root again in the next test matches, he will give India an upper hand against the hosts.
“Siraj got Joe Root out (in the first test) and that was the big wicket. We saw what happened when he got out. So If Siraj manages to take the wicket of Root in the upcoming matches, then India with already 1-0 lead in the series will make further in-roads,” Zaheer Khan concluded.
