Indian skipper Virat Kohli and his India and Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate Mohammed Siraj reached UAE after the Manchester Test was cancelled. RCB are placed third on the points table at the moment with five wins from seven games. They start their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20. They have already beaten KKR once in the season.
Meanwhile, on their way from Manchester to the UAE, Virat Kohli spoke about the Manchester Test match which was cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances. After the Indian support staff were affected by COVID, the team was rather reluctant to play the final Test.
“Unfortunate that we had to end up here early, but with COVID in place, things are very uncertain. Anything can happen at any time. Hopefully, we’re able to maintain a good, strong and secure environment, and have a quality IPL,” the RCB skipper said.
