The second test match between England and New Zealand is all set to take place on Friday, June 10 at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The hosts won the first test match and are leading the three-match series 1-0.
Joe Root slammed a century in the second innings of the test match. He earned the Player of the Match for his 115-runs knock to chase down the target for England. The skipper Ben Stokes too played a fine hand of 54 runs. England will also be pleased with the performance of veteran James Anderson and debutant Matthew Potts.
New Zealand bowlers too did a good job in the test, especially in the first innings. Tim Southee took four wickets to bowl England out for 141 runs. Heading into the second test match, the team will be hoping to get together and perform well as a unit. New Zealand has not won a game at the Trent Bridge since 1986 and will be determined to change their fortunes.
