That was a brilliant delivery from Chris Woakes that made England to start off very fast by getting rid of Craig Braithwaite who is captain of the West Indies without any runs. This happened on the second day of the current third Test match at Edgbaston, Birmingham where it was played on Saturday, July 27. Woakes cleaned up Brathwaite with an absolute jaffa for a six-ball duck, this also was his maiden wicket.
Brathwaite was entirely outfoxed as Woakes bowled one with a length that he angled towards the off-stump and it was also moving away from him. The ball beat the thick edge of the bat at a decent speed before smashing into the top of the off-stump.

Previously, during the day, Chris Woakes managed to hit a half-century off 78 deliveries going for 62 runs helped by seven boundaries in that innings.
Chris Woakes’ half-century enables England to secure a 94-run lead in the first innings
On Day 2, Chris Woakes’ energetic knock helped push England to a 94-run first innings lead. On the eighth wicket, he built a crucial 106-run partnership alongside Jamie Smith. Smith was the highest scorer, with 95 runs from 109 balls which comprised one six and 12 boundaries. While captain Ben Stokes contributed with a score of 54 off 69 while Joe Root scored 87 runs from 124 deliveries.
The Windies saw Alzarri Joseph shine with the ball as he finished off his spell with brilliant figures of 4/122. At the same time, three wickets were taken by Jayden Seales while Shamar Joseph had two under his name. Batting initially, WI scored 282 runs in its first innings.
Kraigg Brathwaite scored 61 in 86 balls while Jason Holder made 59 runs off 112 balls and Joshua Da Silva scored 49 runs from 99 deliveries. The best bowler for England was Gus Atkinson who took four wickets for 67 runs, whereas Chris Woakes claimed three scalps at an expense of 77 runs and Mark Wood managed to have two dismissals at a cost of 78 runs.
The West Indies were 23/2 after seven overs in their second innings, with Mikyle Louis and Alick Athanaze on the crease. The last batter out was Kirk Mckenzie, caught behind by Jamie Smith off Gus Atkinson. The three-match Test series has already been won by Ben Stokes and Co., who took an unassailable 2-0 lead.
