Former South African skipper Faf Du Plessis will have to play a key role in the second Test vs Pakistan which has currently started in Rawalpindi. Pakistan headed into the final game with a 1-0 lead in the two-match series, while for South Africa, they are yet to solve their Asian puzzle. They lost the first Test after their batsmen put up a miserable show in both innings.
Meanwhile, in a comical moment in the second Test, Faf was seen to bring out his dancing skills in the early moments in the game. This is a good way of shedding all the pressure with which they headed into the match.

His dancing skills matched to that of Ranveer Singh dancing to the tune of Khalibali from the Bollywood movie Padmavat. Before its release, the movie coped up an unnecessary controversy of hurting the religious sentiments.

Talking of controversy, the South African cricket team has found itself amid a controversy after Australia have pulled out of a proposed tour to the nation. They were to tour the country between February and March for a series, which is now postponed after a surge in COVID cases in the protean nation.
Cricket Australia chief Nick Hockley put out a statement of their disinterest for the tour following reports of a hike in the number of cases.
Cricket South Africa in return expressed their disappointment over the matter with Graeme Smith, South Africa’s Director of Cricket putting out a statement as well.
“This was set to be the longest tour in a bio-secure environment (BSE), comprising a three-match Test series that was scheduled to begin with Australia’s arrival later in the month. So to be informed about the CA decision at the eleventh hour is frustrating’ said Smith.
In other news, South African coach Mark Boucher on Wednesday said Quinton de Kock will be released from the burden of Test captaincy after the Pakistan tour but there is still time to make that call following Australia’s postponement of the South Africa series.
