Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer Faf du Plessis recently caught up with MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo ahead of the start of IPL 2022. The franchise shared a couple of heartwarming pictures of Faf meeting his former teammates during a practice session.
Incidentally, Faf du Plessis had to part ways with CSK after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) left them behind at the IPL 2022 mega auction. Later, he was appointed as Bangalore’s captain.
Sharing the pictures, CSK wrote on their official Twitter handle:
“Catch ups that make us go laa la laa! #WhistlePodu #Yellove”

The former Proteas captain was the second-leading run-getter in the edition after his opening partner Ruturaj Gaikwad (635 runs).
“Got to see very closely how his brain works” – Faf du Plessis on playing under Dhoni
The veteran opener has had the experience of seeing MS Dhoni going about his business from close quarters. Sharing his experience of playing under Dhoni at CSK, Du Plessis said in an interview on IPL’s official website:
“Moving out to Chennai, I was lucky enough to play under MS Dhoni for an extremely long time. I got to see very closely how his brain works, how things operate under him, which was very fortunate for me.”
Recently, MS Dhoni relinquished his leadership duties two days ahead of IPL 2022 and handed over the baton to ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
They will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at the Wankhede Stadium.
