Faf du Plessis Reveals His International Retirement Date

South African side decimated the kangaroos at their own backyard as they won the recently concluded ODI series with a 2-1 margin.

A formidable pace attack with a blend of googlies from Imran Tahir yielded fruitful results as they are enthusiastic about their performance. Ahead of the only T20I, Protea skipper Faf du Plessis has something to say on his retirement.

The 34-year old Faf du Plessis said that T20 World Cup in Australia (October 2020) will be his last international appearance. It is to be noted that he already led the side in 2014 and 2016 editions but couldn”t make a significant impact.

The side had a greatest disappointment in 2016 after posting a total of 240+ on the board when Root”s masterclass denied them to progress further.

Speaking in Brisbane Faf du Plessis said “The T20 World Cup in 2020 is something I”m really looking forward to. I think right now that will probably be the last tournament for me.”

Faf du plessis has been successful in leading his team even in the test series at Australia a couple of years ago. The kangaroo land has always been a lucky charm for the skipper and it will be interesting if he could end his career on a winning note.

The T20 will be played at Queensland on November 17th.
