Virat Kohli is playing his 100th test match for India at the PCA IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali against Sri Lanka. The right-hander once again failed to convert his start into a big score in the first innings of the test.
Kohli was dismissed for 45 runs off 76 balls, including five boundaries. He walked out to bat when India was 80 for two down. Kohli and Vihari put together 90 runs for the third wicket before Virat was sent back to the hut.
Lasith Embuldeniya bowled a flighted good length delivery, which missed the outside edge of Kohli’s bat and went on to hit the stumps.
The fans were disappointed with Kohli missing out on yet another opportunity to score his 71st century. However, what took the fans by surprise was a prediction by a Twitter user about Virat Kohli’s score in his 100th test match.
Twitter user named @Quick_Single ‘s prediction of Virat Kohli scoring 45 runs in his 100th test came true.
Kohli Won't score a 100 in his 100th test. Will score 45 (100) with 4 gorgeous cover drives and then Embuldeniya will knock his stumps over and he'll pretend to be shocked 😳😳 and will nod his head in disappointment

Meanwhile, India is 199/4 at Tea Break. Skipper Rohit Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Virat Kohli, and Hanuma Vihari are back in the hut. Wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant is at the crease along with Shreyas Iyer.

“Thanks, Rahul Bhai, it’s a special moment for me. My wife is here with me, my brother is there in the stands. It’s a team game and the journey wouldn’t have been possible without you guys. Thanks to BCCI too. I couldn’t have received it from a better person, my childhood hero. I still have that picture with you from my U-15 days.”
