"Wearing black, but wreathed in RED...": RCB Hints at Virat Kohli's Arrival with Cryptic Viral Post

Former India skipper Virat Kohli was recently seen posing for a photo with a fan at a London restaurant ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The marquee tournament will mark India’s first major ICC event without veteran stars Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the squad.

The 37-year-old is currently on a short break from international duties after featuring in India’s three-match home ODI series against New Zealand. During his time off, Kohli visited the vegan eatery Mallow Borough Market, sporting a brown sweater paired with beige trousers.

A fan club dedicated to Kohli later shared the image from the outing on Instagram.

Virat Kohli retired from T20Is after India’s T20 World Cup 2024 win, making a decisive impact with a match-winning 76 in the final against South Africa to end an 11-year ICC trophy drought. Looking ahead, Suryakumar Yadav is set to captain India at the T20 World Cup 2026.

India will co-host the tournament alongside Sri Lanka and begin their campaign on Saturday, February 7, with a clash against the United States of America at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

Virat Kohli set to make his return with IPL 2026

Virat Kohli is set to return to competitive action in the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The star batter will once again represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), a franchise he has remained loyal to since the league’s inaugural edition in 2008.

RCB will head into IPL 2026 as the reigning champions after edging past Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in last season’s final. Kohli was instrumental in the historic title triumph, scoring 657 runs in 15 innings to power the Bengaluru outfit to their first-ever IPL crown.

The former India captain has also been in outstanding touch in recent times. He finished as India’s top run-getter in the ODI series against New Zealand, despite the team suffering a 1-2 defeat. Kohli compiled scores of 93, 23, and 124, ending the series with an impressive tally of 240 runs from three matches.
