Even the God of Cricket “Sachin Tendulkar” tweeted that Pant”s 97 off 43 was one of the best innings he had ever seen in the IPL which included all 10 seasons. This Delhi boy got a game vs England in January but could not get a chance to cement his place. His splendid performance at this IPL will surely earn him a place in the Indian team very soon.
2. Sanju Samson (Delhi Daredevils)
After a scintillating debut in the 2013 IPL season, Samson went quiet for a few match until his moment of truth arrived in IPL 10. 384 runs with a dazzling ton vs RPS is the highlight of his incredible run. The 102 vs RPS was the fruit of his perseverance with Rahul Dravid over past two years. Dravid”s presence has always helped any youngster. Be it, Sanju Samson or Rishab Pant. Samson”s application, determination, and timing is what makes him a candidate for the Indian team.
3. Rahul Tripathi (Rising Pune Supergiant)
This Ranchi lad was the paramount focus of all viewers in the third week of IPL. Though he did not fire in his earlier matches, that knock of 59 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, helped RPS to seal a much-needed victory. He”s already on the 11th spot amongst the top run-getters this IPL. With 360 runs and a highest score of 93 to his, credit Tripathi has grabbed a lot of attention from the greats in the game. His 93 against KKR earned him a MoM award and this came as no surprise. More than his miraculous run of form, the consistency that he has shown needs special mention.
4. Jaydev Unadkat (Rising Pune Supergiant)
“Failures makes one strong enough to bounce back heavily.” 26-year-old Jaydev Unadkat is a perfect example. Getting a chance in the Indian team based on his domestic performances and then unfortunately not performing well in those seven ODIs that he played for India, did not disappoint him. A Hat-Trick in this IPL has brought him back to contention.
This young lad has bagged 19 precious wickets with the best bowling figures of 5-30 against the defending champions. Unadkat has had a stop-start career, but the way he has bounced back in this IPL has impressed quite a few.
5. Siddharth Kaul (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
The rise of a fast bowler in a batsman dominated country is in itself a very proud moment. Siddharth Kaul is the new sensation among the young bowlers. He can hit 140 kph, has a bunch of very different variations and also has the ability to bowl toe-crushing yorkers. This young man has stepped up impressively in the absence of Ashish Nehra and Mustafizur Rahman making Captain David Warner rely on him heavily. He has bagged 15 wickets till now and has the best bowling figures of 4-29 up his sleeve. His hard work and perseverance along with the consistency shown in the death overs will help him earn a spot in the Indian team.
