The 2018 edition will see the return of two old franchises Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. Both franchises were for 2 years due to a match-fixing scandal. Without these two teams, the Indian Premier League looked incomplete. Rajasthan Royals was owned by Manoj Badle is happy to his franchise back in the Indian Premier League season 11.
Rajasthan Royals were the winners of season 1 in 2008 beating Chennai Super Kings. They did not qualify for knockout stages till 2012. In 2013 and 2015 they reached the playoffs stages. The franchise had some top players like Shane Watson, Yusuf Pathan, Munaf Patel, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahane, Steve Smith and other top cricketers.
