Gautam Gambhir talks about his rift with MS Dhoni

Star Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir cleared all the air about the speculations regarding his relation with MS Dhoni in an interaction with his fans from his social media accounts in Facebook.

Despite not being good friends, Gambhir admitted that there was no rivalry between them. However, he disclosed that there was a difference of opinions while playing for the country.

“There was never a rivalry between me and Dhoni. When we played for India, irrespective of the difference of opinion, winning was our ultimate objective. There are bound be differences in opinion. That happens in any sphere of life, if you are in a group, be it in a family or anywhere else, but until the time your goal is to make your country win, I don”t think there will ever be any differences. I think he”s a fantastic player and a fantastic human being,” Gambhir said.

Gambhir didn’t forget to mention about the good time they have spent together while playing for the national side in 2007 T-20 World Cup and in 2011 World Cup. He further added, “We’ve had our best moments of our life together, whether it’s winning the World T20 in 2007 or the World Cup in 2011, being No 1 Test side in the world. Our ambition and our goal have always been the same.”

Notably, Gambhir took a jibe at Dhoni before the release of his biopic. He said there should biopic on the lives of people who have done noble deeds for the country rather than on cricketers.

Gambhir scored an outstanding 97 runs in the final of the 2011 World Cup final against Sri Lanka which ultimately helped India to lift the prestigious trophy for the second time after 1983. He has represented India in 57 Tests matches and 147 ODI’s scoring 4154 and 5238 runs respectively.
