After their victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2025 on Wednesday, April 9, Gujarat Titans (GT) took a playful jab at them on social media. The light-hearted banter unfolded online, with RR sharing a post on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Bagha, a character from the popular Indian sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, saying :
“Ek kaam karta hu, so jata hu (Let me do one thing, I’ll sleep).”
After the match, Gujarat Titans replied with a picture of Jethalal, another character from the same show, sleeping on his father’s lap. It was a funny way of teasing Rajasthan Royals after beating them.
They even added three sleeping emojis as the caption for the post:

Gujarat Titans secured their fourth straight win in the IPL 2025 season with a commanding 58-run victory over Rajasthan Royals. Batting first, they piled up an imposing total of 217/6 in their 20 overs. Opener Sai Sudharsan continued his excellent form, notching up another half-century.

GT’s bowlers then stepped up, bowling out Rajasthan Royals for just 159 and never letting them settle in the chase. Prasidh Krishna starred with the ball, picking up three wickets, while Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore bagged two each.
After a season-opening loss to Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans have bounced back in style, defeating Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and now Rajasthan Royals. They sit firmly at the top of the table and continue to dominate the tournament.
