A rock was hurled at the Australian team bus while they were returning to the team hotel from the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati post their win in the second T20I of the three-match series making the series level at 1-1.
Australian opener Aaron Finch posted a picture of a broken window from his official twitter handle and wrote, “Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!!” Later, it was retweeted by the stand-in skipper of the Australian side David Warner and liked by all-rounder Glenn Maxwell.

However, there has been no official response from the Board of Cricket Control of India, International Cricket Council (ICC) and Cricket Australia (CA). It has been also learned that no one was injured and police protection was increased by many fold post that incident in the team hotel.
The stone thrown at the Aussie team bus shows us in bad light, let's all act more responsibly. A vast majority of us are capable of that.🙏

It is to be believed that the size of the rock was big as the size of a cricket ball which was thrown on the right-hand side of the bus which pierced through the glass and ending up inside the bus leaving the window shattered. However, there was nobody on the seat, but this incident left all the Australian players in utter shock.

This is the second time in five weeks that an Australian bus has been attacked. Previously, a small rock was thrown at the Aussie bus in Chittagong during their second test match last month. Although the window was broken, no glass or projectile fell into the bus.
Not done people of #Guwahati !! Show grace and hospitality !! #INDvAUS https://t.co/XqcxvRQvM8

Australia defeated India in the second match of the T20 series by eight wickets with 27 balls to spare courtesy some clinical bowling performance from Jason Behrendorff picking up 4 wickets wrecking havoc in India’s top-order. He was also awarded the man-of-the-match award. Travis Head and Moises Henriques played crucial knocks to take home their team after they lost two early wickets.
I saw so many simple, happy faces in Guwahati. Guess the idiot who threw the stone on the Aussie team bus was hiding among them. Not done.

Unacceptable behaviour. Apologies for this. Hopefully the guilty is punished. #Guwahati https://t.co/1k7fzBHg3O
