Former India captain Virat Kohli turned 34 on Saturday. Wishes started pouring in for the swashbuckling batter from around the world. Notably, Virat Kohli is currently in Australia with the Indian team for the ongoing T20 World Cup.

He is in sensational form as he has scored three fifties across four games for the national side. Kohli was not at his best at the start of the year, but he returned in form during the Asia Cup and took it to another level at the ongoing T20 World Cup.

Virat Kohli will be next play on November 6 against Zimbabwe which is India’s last match of Super 12 at the T20 World Cup as well. However, Kohli is the top run-getter in the tournament currently with 220 runs in his name across 4 matches. He has an average of 220 as well.

Kohli became the Player of the Match in his last match against Bangladesh as well. After the win, he said: “A good day with the bat. When I went in there was a bit of pressure. I didn’t want little mistakes to curb my instincts. I am in a happy place. I don’t want to compare it with the past. As soon as I knew the WC is in Australia, I was grinning from ear to ear. Good cricketing shots will be the key here is what I know. Hitting through the line is what I do in every format. It is just an extension for me. I love playing at this ground. This makes me feel at home. When I come to Adelaide, I am meant to enjoy myself and keep batting.”

Meanwhile, Team India is doing well in the tournament. They have lost only one of the four matches played in Group 2 of Super 12. Moreover, they have a golden chance to finish as the table-topper of the group if they manage to beat Zimbabwe as well.
