As a player, Harbhajan has been out of action for a very long time. He was supposed to represent the MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings franchise in the recently concluded IPL but backed out right before the tournament began in the UAE. He was the second player who pulled out of the IPL after Suresh Raina for the Whistle Podu franchise.
