Hardik Pandya’s Gesture After Victory Gets Appreciation

Following India’s impressive 3-0 series win against Bangladesh in T20Is, star cricketers Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson showcased a heartwarming gesture for the ground staff at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

This commendable act took place after the final match on October 12, where India triumphed over Bangladesh by a whopping 133 runs. The match was marked by a remarkable total of 297/6, driven by Samson’s outstanding performance, which included his maiden T20I century, alongside Pandya’s explosive batting at the end of the innings.

Record-Breaking Performances

In the decisive match, Bangladesh managed only 164 runs in response to India’s formidable total. Sanju Samson was particularly noteworthy, scoring 111 runs off just 47 balls, a performance that not only silenced his critics but also made him the first Indian wicketkeeper-batter to achieve a T20I century.

His impressive display earned him the Player of the Match award. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya continued his excellent form, contributing 47 runs from 18 balls. By the end of the series, he had accumulated a total of 118 runs, along with one wicket and five catches, securing the Player of the Series title for his efforts.

Looking Ahead

As Team India celebrates this successful T20 series, they now set their sights on the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand, which begins on October 16. Following this home series, the squad will travel to South Africa for a four-match T20I series, after which they will prepare for the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

This victory not only highlights the team’s strong performance but also underscores the camaraderie and sportsmanship displayed by players like Pandya and Samson, who took the time to recognize the hard work of the ground staff after their match. Such gestures contribute to the spirit of cricket and the positive atmosphere surrounding the sport.
