Haris Rauf Picks Two Biggest Challenges For Him In The ICC T20 World Cup 2020

The recently concluded Big Bash League has given the fast bowler from Pakistan Haris Rauf a much-needed boost in his career. He will be on the front-runner to make it to the Pakistan squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia later this. As the world dwells on the fate of the mega event, Rauf has identified on his two biggest challenges in the T20 World Cup.

Notably, Haris Rauf was one of the significant factors behind the Melbourne Stars success in BBL 2019-20. He finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker in the tournament scalping 20 wickets from 10 matches. His performance in BBL also helped him get a maiden call-up for the national side.

As he looks to settle his berth in the team, Haris Rauf looks forward to earning a berth for the T20 World Cup 2020. And ahead of the tournament, Rauf has identified two of the biggest challenges in the mega event as he aims to leave a long-lasting impression in the biggest cricketing extravaganza.

“This being a World Cup competition, the quality of opposition will be very tough as top players from each country will be playing in it so all batsmen will be difficult to bowl to. But looking at the top T20I players in the world, to be the greatest challenge will come from the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma,” Rauf said during an interview with PakPassion.

Speaking further, Haris Rauf divulged on the details what let him dominate the star-studded batters like Steve Smith, David Warner among others. The 26-year-old looks fully confident and wants to deliver the good for his country in the T20 World Cup 2020.

“To do well against such top-quality batsmen will do wonders for my confidence and to be honest, based on my experience in BBL, I should be able to do well in the World Cup if given the chance. It is my nature that I don’t let any batsman dominate me and that is how I did so well in BBL 09 even against such quality batsmen like Steve Smith, as I didn’t allow him to put any pressure on me at all,” Rauf concluded.
