Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Harshit Rana was unavailable for selection for the third T20I between India and Bangladesh in Hyderabad. Despite speculation that he might make his international debut, Rana did not travel with the team from Delhi to Hyderabad.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed his absence due to a viral infection shortly after the toss. As a result, the young fast bowler could not be considered for the match, disappointing fans who were eager to see him in action.

Team Changes and Toss Decisions

For the third T20I, India’s captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bat first, continuing the team’s momentum after securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. India made one change to their playing XI, bringing in leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi to replace seamer Arshdeep Singh.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh made two changes to their lineup as they sought to salvage some pride in the series. Despite being ahead in the series, Suryakumar stressed the importance of maintaining good habits and avoiding complacency in the final game.

Focus on Consistency and Responsibility

Suryakumar Yadav emphasized the importance of building on their success, stating that it was crucial for the team to follow good habits even after securing the series win. He highlighted the importance of giving players freedom at the crease, regardless of the game situation, and expressed confidence in India’s ability to set a competitive target on what appeared to be a good batting wicket.

On the other side, Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto expressed his desire for his team to focus on consistency, particularly in their batting, as they aimed to put in a special performance in the final match of the series.
