Here is the list of cricketers with most sixes in T20 Internationals

From the past few years, hitting sixes has become the fashion for modern-day batsmen with innovative strokes and put the bowlers under pressure. Many greats have played T20I cricket, entertained the cricketing world with their power hitting.

In the modern day cricket, with the advent of shorter format, batsmen have become smarter and want to hit big sixes.

Here we look at the top 10 cricketers with most sixes in T20I internationals

Chris Gayle the hard-hitting batsman from West Indies has hit 103 sixes in T20I matches. He made his T20I debut for West Indies in 2006 against New Zealand. The power hitter was a part of the winning team won 2 T20I World Cups in 2012 and 2016. Gayle has played a total of 55 matches (51 innings) with 1589 runs. His highest score has been off 117 with 2 centuries and 13 half-centuries. In the 2018 season, Gayle played against New Zealand on 3rd January.

One of the great players of T20I cricket played for New Zealand. His first T20I match for New Zealand came against Australia in 2005 and retired from T20I cricket in 2015 against England. Brendon McCullum was one of the destructive players in T20I cricket who had the ability to play innovative strokes against pacers and spinners.

Brendon McCullum played 71 matches for New Zealand and scored 2140 runs. His highest score in T20I cricket was 123 with a strike rate of 136.21. The former New Zealand player has 2 centuries and 13 half-centuries. During his T20I career, the hard-hitting batsman smashed 91 sixes.

Shane Watson another hard-hitting batsman from Australia made his T20I debut for the country in 2006 against South Africa and played its last T20I match against India in 2016 during T20 World Cup. He played 58 matches for Australia scoring 1462 runs. His highest score has been 124* against India with an overall strike rate of 145.32. He made the batting look easy and put the pressure on opposition bowlers with clean hitting.

Shane Watson had smashed 83 sixes for Australia. During his T20I career, the Australian hard hitter scored 1 century and 10 half-centuries.

Martin Guptill, the current opener for New Zealand cricket is one of the hard-hitting batsmen in modern day cricket. He made his T20I debut against Australia in 2009. Since his debut, Guptill has played 68 matches (66 innings) with 1954 runs. His highest score is 101* with an overall strike rate of 130.44. Guptill knows to dominate the opposition bowlers and help New Zealand post massive scores.

So far, Guptill has hit 1 century and 11 half-centuries. In total, the hard-hitting opener from New Zealand smashed 81 sixes so far.

Yuvraj Singh, one of the match winners for India made his T20I debut against Scotland in 2007. He was a part of winning team which won the ICC World Cup 2007 held in South Africa. Since then he played 58 matches ( 51 innings) with 1177 runs. His best score has been 77* with an overall strike rate of 136.38.

Yuvraj Singh does not have a century in this format but scored 8 half centuries. In total, the left-handed experienced player has smashed 74 sixes so far. His last T20I match for India was against England in February 2017.

David Warner, the current Australian opener made his T20I debut against South Africa in 2009. Since then he has played 65 matches with a total of 1696 runs. His best score is 90* with an overall strike rate of 139.24.

The explosive left-handed batsman does not have a century but has scored 12 half centuries. He has smashed 74 sixes same as Yuvraj Singh.

One of the best all-rounders for Pakistan cricket made his T20I debut in 2006 against England and represented Pakistan in last T20I match against Australia in 2016 World T20. He has played 98 matches and scored 1405 runs. His best score was 54* with an overall strike rate of 150.75.

Afridi was known for big hitting and usually came in lower order. He has hit 4 half centuries. In T20I carrier, Pakistan all-rounder has hit 73 sixes.

Eoin Morgan the current England captain made his T20I debut against the Netherlands in 2009. Since making his debut, the left-handed batsman has played 70 matches and scored 1576 runs. His best score in this format has been 85* with an overall strike rate of 130.46.

Morgan is one of the biggest hitters in current limited overs side. He has hit 8 half centuries and smashed 69 sixes so far. England has not played any T20I matches so far in 2018.

Rohit Sharma the current Indian opener in T20I cricket made his debut against England during World T20 Cup in 2007. He has played 71 T20I matches for India and scored 1647 runs. His best score came against Sri Lanka scoring 118 runs with an overall strike rate of 135.11.

Rohit Sharma is one of the batsmen to score 2 centuries in T20I format. Along with 2 centuries, the dashing opener has made 12 half centuries. He has smashed 67 sixes in T20I format.

Mohammad Shahzad the hard-hitting batsman from Afghanistan made his T20I debut against Ireland in 2010. He has played 58 T20I matches and scored 1779 runs. His best score in this format is 118* with an overall strike rate of 136.84.

Shahzad has hit 1 century and 12 half century. He is an opener and has been provisionally banned by the ICC. In his T20I carrer, the dashing opener has hit 66 sixes so far.
