The BCCI picked a strong 15-man squad for the World Cup 2019 to be played in England and Wales from 30th May 2019. Each team will play another team once before the top four teams qualify for the semi-finals stage.

In the ongoing IPL, Pandya is performing brilliantly with the bat scoring 218 runs from 9 matches with a strike rate of 191.75. With the ball, he has done a decent job picking 8 wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja has been picked as the 2nd all-rounder in the Team. He made his ODI comeback in last year’s Asia Cup and performed reasonably well. In the field, he can change the course of the match with his fielding. If the conditions help the spinners, Ravindra Jadeja could be included in playing XI.

Vijay Shankar is the third all-rounder picked by Team India for the World Cup. He is someone who can bat or bowl little. Depending upon the conditions prevailing in England that time, Shankar could be included in playing XI.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have done brilliantly for Team India in the middle overs since the Champions Trophy loss to Pakistan in 2017.



Chahal has performed reasonably well for Royal Challengers Bangalore in ongoing IPL. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav has not picked many wickets for KKR. These two wrist spinners would play a key role in helping India picking wickets in middle overs and restricting opposition to low totals.

Pacers

Jasprit Bumrah is one of the key bowlers for Team India in ODI cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2016 and has not looked back after. He played the Champions Trophy 2017 and performed reasonably well for Team India in that tournament. With the ability to pick early wickets and bowl Yorkers at will makes one of the threats for oppositions.
