The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League is back and the promotions are already on a high level. It is all set to kick off this Saturday (23rd of March) at Chennai.

This will be the first time that the T20 cricketing season will take place in India despite general elections. It is to be noted that in 2009 and 2014, the venues were shifted to Southafrica and UAE respectively.
The tournaments on the overseas venues were well received by the fans all over the world and no wonder why it is still the most anticipated T20 league in the cricketing universe. There will also be no changes in the home and away fixtures which has been the conventional way of the league since a decade.

As informed earlier, there will be no opening ceremony for this IPL as the board has decided to donate the same amount to the families of Pulwama attack. This gesture is being appreciated by the fans in social media platforms as well.
