Here”s The line-up for ICC Women’s World T20 2018 in the West Indies

The 2018 edition of ICC women’s World T20 to be played in West Indies from 9th to 24th November. Ireland women became the 9th team to qualify for the ICC Women’s World T20 2018 to be held in West Indies this November. In the semi-finals on Thursday, Ireland defeated PNG played at Amstelveen in a low scoring thriller.

Here’s The Full Schedule of ICC Women’s World T20 2018

Papua New Guinea captain won the toss K Arua won the toss and decided to field first. A great bowling effort by the PNG bowlers restricted Ireland to just 113 for 6 in 20 overs. GH Lewis was the top scorer for Ireland with 36 and captain L Denly remained not out on 21.

Chasing the target of 114, the Ireland bowlers made life tough for PNG batters. B Tau was the top scorer for PNG with 22. O Reily took 3 wickets for 13 runs in 3.2 overs. Rest of Ireland bowlers did a great job to bowl out PNG for just 86 in 19.2 overs. Ireland women won the match by 27 runs to book a place in the ICC Women’s World T20 2018.

Ireland women’s team won their all matches in Group B beating Scotland, Uganda and Thailand. This will be their 3rd tournament in women’s World T20 tournament. They have played 9 matches overall in 2014 and 2016 editions losing all 9 matches.

Bangladesh women qualify for World T20 2018

The 2018 Women’s Asia Cup 2018 winners Bangladesh became the final team to progress into the Women’s World T20 2018 beating Scotland at Amstelveen.

Scotland women’s captain KE Bryce won the toss and decided to field first. Both openers Shamina Sultana and Ayesha Rahman gave the team a solid start adding 51 runs for the first wicket in 6.5 overs. The Scotland bowlers made a good comeback to pick regular wickets. Nigar Sultana played a crucial knock scoring 31 off 36 balls to help Bangladesh women post 125 for 6 in 20 overs.

Chasing 126 runs to win, Scotland opener SJ Bryce was the top scorer with 31 while captain KE Bryce made 21. Bangladesh women did not allow Scottish women’s team to score runs easily and restricted Scotland to 76 for 7 in 20 overs. Bangladesh women won the match by 49 runs. As far as bowlers are concerned, Nahida Akter and Rumana Ahmed took 2 wickets each.

Bangladesh too had an easy outing beating PNG, Netherlands and United Arab Emirates in Group A. This will be their 3rd World T20 appearances. In both 2014 and 2016, Bangladesh women’s team could not progress beyond the group stages.

England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, defending Champions West Indies and winner of finals in qualifying tournament will form Group A. In Group B, Australia, New Zealand, India, Pakistan and runners-up of qualifying tournament would complete the top 10 teams. The tournament starts on 9th November and will finish on 24th played at 3 grounds in West Indies.
